I started martial arts in 1992 at the age of 12, and have about 16+ years experience. When I started, I was young, flexible and could touch my toes without having to hold my breath and also could kick someone taller than me in the head. Now, over the age of 40, the only way someone is getting kicked in the head is if they are laying on the ground.
In 2015, I was working in Pittsburgh and unhappy about my health (I was 280 lbs). I felt awkward going back to martial arts being out of shape and overweight, but found an amazing school that is supportive and made up of all shapes, ages, sizes, and abilities. Our one teacher took his 5th degree black belt test one month before his 70th birthday in the fall of 2020. I want to take the confidence and empowerment that they gave me and share it with YOU! No matter your age, shape, ability or size, YOU are powerful and amazing.
I offer Women's Self Defense classes to individuals, church groups, scout troops, work groups, and more.
I recently started teaching Tang Soo Do in Marienville PA on Monday evenings. Check out the schedule for more information.
I also teach Cardio Kickboxing at Brookville YMCA on Tuesday nights from 630 to 730.
